This guide focuses on DIY installation of third-party firmware. Note that this guide is provided as is, and DDWRT firmware is not supported by us. Please refer to DDWRT for support.
You can utilize DDWRT on ZBT-MT300N and ZBT-MT300A. The compatible firmware for Buffalo WHR 300HP2 can be used:

The firmware named “firmware.uimage” has been tested and is functional.
Steps to Install DDWRT:
1. Flash the Firmware: Use the default WebUI to flash the firmware. It will pass the firmware check.
2. Reconnect After Reboot: Once the router reboots, reconnect your network cable. Your computer will get an IP address from your main router, not the ZBT-MT300, as this firmware bridges the two LAN ports.
3. Setup DDWRT: Manually change your computer’s IP address to 192.168.1.2, then visit [http://192.168.1.1](http://192.168.1.1).
4. Configure WAN and LAN Ports: Set up the WAN and LAN ports correctly. In the WebUI, go to administration -> commands, input the following code, and click “save startup”:

swconfig dev switch0 vlan 1 set ports '1 2 3 4 5 6t'
swconfig dev switch0 vlan 2 set ports '0 6t'
swconfig dev switch0 set apply
nvram set lan_ifnames='vlan1 ra0 ba0'
nvram commit
```
Steps to Use DDWRT:
1. Default Credentials: The default user is root, and the password is “admin” if you use SSH.
2. First-Time Setup: When setting up DDWRT for the first time via WebUI, create your own username and password. Do not forget these credentials!
3. Add Security: After login, secure your Wi-Fi. By default, it is open.
4. Enjoy DDWRT: You can now enjoy the features and benefits of DDWRT.
